I really love being a photographer. You never know what assignment is around the corner. Last week I got a call from ABC News asking if I could photograph a certain former Vice President being interviewed for one of their programs. Mr Cheney just recently recovered from major heart surgery, he has a completely new heart. Its pretty damn amazing when you think about it. My assignment was pretty basic: stills of the interview for them to use on the site and other outlets to promote the interview. Jon Karl was the correspondent. It was pretty fascinating. I was about 10 feet away from him during the entire interview and it was pretty surreal. He is one of the most powerful men in modern history. Now regardless of how you feel about his politics I can say there is one snippet he made that I completely agreed with: Sarah Palin was a mistake. Its no surprise that this is the quote from the interview that is making headlines, not that he has another person’s heart in his chest. Crazy world we live in. Here are a few stills of the shoot.
